Matt Hendricks’ story is one of perseverance. After an unheralded four-season career at St. Cloud State, the Avalanche’s 28-year-old winger played with seven minor-league franchises over the next six years.
But he’s finally made the Avs’ roster for opening night this season and has become a productive force as the Avs’ fourth-line winger.
His first NHL goal – it was a long time coming – came at Chicago on Oct. 10.
Now he’s ready to take your questions in the latest installment of The Denver Post’s “Fan Mail” feature.
Ask Matt about his career, his life in the minors or his life off the ice. Please submit your questions to fanmail@denverpost.com. Questions will be accepted through Thursday morning (March 11).
